Ramble-On

So you have found yourself in Ramble-on……….you poor demented fool, what the hell are you doing here? This page is filled with weird shit, Don't you have something better to do?……. On the other hand you look like a bit of a sick puppy, what the hay, you might even enjoy it. You never know the meaning to life, the universe and everything may be hidden in here somewhere. To venture further or not to venture further?

The choice is yours!

The choice is yours to jump in blindly and be dammed….or enriched as the case may be. You will find out only after you have over stepped the line!!

Ideas

Just a thought for a New Years eve party for the year 2000. The beginning of a new millennium. There have been predictions of great change and of doom and gloom. All the usual venues around the country will be a nightmare. Excess alcohol with teens and adults = Police and viloance. Add to this the exptations of the year 2000 changing peoples lives etc.

I have often found that the best parties are ones where every one knows at least four or so people really well at the party, but the party also contained a diverse group of new positively minded people into the mix.

The idea is to have a sort of chain letter party sending invites to only your closest four friends. There should be no limit as to where your friends are living at the moment as you have two years to plan this.

The venue would be a remote farm or beach or even a farm with a beach well away from the drunken masses and paranoid police. With a large bon fire, hungi, food cooked on the spit, barbecues, tents, caravans, refreshments, music, dancing, laughing, a four day event.

The key is planing, by inviting only your closest friends and partners there should be very few if any bludgers and a lot of co-operation in terms of contributions of time, effort and the donation of required equipment, land etc.

It's just an idea, but I think it's a really good one.

Dreams The strange dream file

  1. Dad, Nicky, Ben, Joss, Pete and me are all in a dingy fishing at the mouth to a very wide river. Being such a lovely day we all decide to go for a swim (except Joss and Pete).

I am haply swimming when I notice swirling water and sense danger, signalling to every one to swim to the safety of a nearby reef, Nick and Ben follow but Dad is adamant that there is nothing to worry about. Once to the safety of the reef I use the height to look for danger and spot the shark fin rise out of the water racing towards Dad. I shout shark, shark, shark to warn Dad letting him know it is not a cry wolf situation. Dad unbelievably just makes it to safety but not before the other possibility flashes before my eyes (Dad screaming as he is eaten alive too far away for any one to help.)

Dad to safety, the next image is Joss and Pete have somehow managed to flip the dingy and are standing on top of the hull floating off down the river, safe as long as they don’t fall off.

  2. This dream started with Mum, Nicky, Joss and myself in a taxi with Dad as a driver. Or Dad may have just been at the destination point. After driving through a maze we ended up at a high point which was some where up in the Waitakerie’s . At this point I notice a cave with a stream running through it. The cave is a tourist attraction, with people currently getting in and out of small boats. The area is over looking the Auckland basin with views as far away as Mt Ruapau. As I am standing watching the Mountain It starts to erupt, spewing dark ash high in to the atmosphere. Then suddenly erupting with much greater force, completely blowing apart the whole mountain. Masses of larva flow out of the hole left by the eruption at speeds of hundreds of miles per hour, destroying everything in it’s path, stopping only when it reached the Bombay hills.

Then while standing looking on stunned, massive derby started raining from the sky, rock and ash etc.

Then the dream turned really weird as the buildings in down town started turning into Transformers, like the toys, and started wiping out the rest of the people that survived the explosion. Work that one out Dr Katz.

  3. So there's been a lot of sleepless nights.
